RSD
HIGH POWER STEP-DOWN TRANSFORMER

The RSD is an auto-transformer designed to handle the high powers produced using RITEC gated amplifiers. It is useful when using low-impedance loads such as electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATS). The voltage step-down ratio is selected as 2:1 or 3:1 (impedance ratio 4:1 or 9:1). A monitor output is provided to examine the output without damaging the oscilloscope input. The factory should be consulted to establish the desired frequency range.

RSU
HIGH POWER STEP-UP TRANSFORMER

The RSU is an auto-transformer designed to handle the high powers produced using RITEC gated amplifiers. It is useful when using high impedance loads such as some piezoelectric transducers. The voltage step-up ratio is selected as 1:2 or 1:3 (impedance ratio 1:4 or 1:9). A monitor output is provided to examine the output without damaging the oscilloscope input. The factory should be consulted to establish the desired frequency range.

TDS
SINGLE ENDED TO DIFFERENTIAL TRANSFORMER

The model TDS is a transformer designed to convert the single-ended output of a high-power amplifier to a differential output that is isolated from ground and capable of driving electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) circuits. The input uses a standard BNC connector and the output uses a BNC twinax connector. The factory should be consulted to establish the desired frequency range.

CDS-1
DIFFERENTIAL TO SINGLE END CONVERTOR

The CDS-1 is a small box allowing the user to convert from differential to single- ended operation.

CCKR
COAX CABLE KIT

The CCKR coax cable kit consists of 3 BNC cables 4 ft. (1.2 m) in length and 3 cables 6 inch (15 cm.) in length.

DCCK
TWINAX CABLE KIT

The DCCK coax cable kit consists of 3 BNC twinax cables 4 ft. (1.2 m) in length and 3 cables 6 inch (15 cm.) in length.

RCDDX-2A
CLAMPED DIPLEXER FOR USE WITH A HIGH-POWER AMPLIFIER
WITH DIFFERENTIAL OUTPUT

Note: The RCDDX-2A has been discontinued.

The RCDDX-2A is similar to the RCDX-2A except that the input From Pulser, and the output To Transducer are differential and BNC twinax connectors have been used. The switchable diplexer output bypassing the receiver is also provided with a differential connector. The differential circuitry is particularly valuable when EMATs are used and it is desirable to avoid operation with high currents in the cable shields.

RS-5-G2
SIGNAL SELECTOR FOR THE SNAP

The RS-5-G2 signal selector consists of an interface box that allows the user to determine which monitor is to be observed on channels one and two of the oscilloscope. Built into the interface are suitable terminations that allow the use of high-impedance inputs on the oscilloscope. All cables are included.

RA-30
STEPPED ATTENUATOR (30 dB)

The RA-30 consists of three high-power attenuators that can be manually switched in or out. This allows the attenuation to be increased in 6-dB steps, up to a maximum of 30 dB. It is useful in reducing the output of a gated amplifier without distorting the shape of the RF burst. The RA-30 is capable of handling pulse power in excess of 5 KW and an average power dissipation of 5 Watts. Attenuation characteristics are maintained up to about 50 MHz with an accuracy of approximately 5 percent.

RS-10
SIGNAL SELECTOR FOR THE RAM 10,000

Note: The RS-10 has been discontinued.

The RS-10 signal selector consists of an interface box that allows the user to determine which monitor is to be observed on channels one and two of the oscilloscope. Built into the interface are suitable terminations that allow the use of high-impedance inputs on the oscilloscope. All cables are included.

PAT-0.1-20
TUNED PRE-AMPLIFIER

The PAT-0.1-20 is a low-noise, high-impedance, pre-amplifier designed to cover the frequency range of 0.1 to 20 MHz. The gain is approximately 40 dB and the output impedance is 50 W. Tuning is accomplished with eight switch-selectable ranges, plus a screwdriver vernier (2:1) adjustment. In addition, a 10:1 bandwidth control is included to optimize signal-to-noise and signal resolution. The output will drive 1 V peak-to-peak (Vpp) into a 50 W load. ± 18 V power is normally supplied from a RAM system. However, the unit will work with ± 15 V supplies

DPAS-0.1-20
DIFFERENTIAL BROADBAND PRE-AMPLIFIER

The DPAS-0.1-20 is a low-noise, low-impedance (50 W), broadband pre-amplifier designed to cover the frequency range of 0.1 to 20 MHz. The total gain is switch-selectable to 10, 20, or 30 dB. The input is differential and designed specifically with electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMATs) in mind. The output is single-ended and will drive 1 V peak-to-peak (Vpp) into 50 W. ± 8 V power is normally supplied from a RAM system. However, the unit will work with ± 5 V supplies.
